AEON 1% Club Foundation hosted the "Japan-Thailand Teenage Ambassadors (High School Exchange) Program"

Students from both countries met again in Thailand to cultivate a friendly relationship.

AEON 1% Club has held the “Japan-Thailand Teenage Ambassadors (High School Exchange) Program” in Thailand  from 21, January.

 

The Foundation has started this program in which high school students in Japan and Asian countries visit their homeland each other in order to promote the exchange since 1990. This is the 3rd time program in Thailand ever since 1993 and 2004.

Welcome Reception Activities

30 students from Thailand and 30 students from Japan, which they met and deepen the exchange in Japan, met again in Bangkok, Thailand in order to further deepen their understandings each other.  

 

Japanese students made a courtesy visit to Ministry of Education after they have arrived at Bangkok on 21st, January. At night, welcome reception, attended by the representatives from Embassy of Japan in Thailand and Thai Government, was held. There, students performed traditional dances of each country and made a determination speech.

Exchange Activities

 

From next day, Japanese students visited the remains of Ayutthaya to understand the history and the culture of Thailand. They also took the lecture about the countermeasures against the flood at Chulalongkorn University where its history is the longest in Thailand and enjoyed the interaction with the exchange students of the University.

 

They continued the program and deepen their understanding the Thailand history and culture by attending the classes at 3 high schools in Bangkok as well as staying with host families

 

AEON will continue to contribute the development of friendly relationship between Japan and Asian countries through the activities of AEON 1% Club and AEON Environmental Foundation.
